Birding Package 1
Day 1 Arrival. One of our guides will meet you at the airport. Transfer to the hotel in San Jose and brief meeting with detailed explanation of itinerary. We also hand over all the necessary travel documents you need for this great vacation time. Overnight in San Jose.
Day 2 Departure in the morning towards San Gerardo de Dota. Arrival and check in at the hotel. San Gerardo is a famous cloud forest area, now called Los Quetzales National Park. Afternoon rainforest walk to the waterfalls of the Savegre river. Overnight in San Gerardo.
Day 3 Breakfasts. Early morning birding tour. After lunch, departure towards Palmar Sur and Sierpe, to board to boat that will take you to Corcovado National Park, located on Osa Peninsula. Afternoon arrival and dinner. Overnight.
Day 4 Morning Corcovado National Park tour. Walk through the richest rainforest on earth in search of wildlife and birds. Lunch. Afternoon return , dinner and overnight.
Day 5 Breakfats and Cano Island Tour. Snrkeling tour included. Explore the world under the water. Afternoon return and overnight.
Day 6 Breakfasts and departure to La Cusinga Lodge, located next to Marino Ballena National Marine Park. Afternoon at leisure to explre the beach, the trails, or stay at the Lookout point for whale watching. Overnight La Cusinga Lodge.
Day 7 Morning rainforest walk and departure to Carara National Park, one of the best areas for birding. Hundreds of species from both the north dry pacific and the south wet pacific collide here. Overnight in Villa Lapas or similar.
Day 8 Early morning birding tour in search of red macaws and other famous species. Afternoon departure towards San Jose.
Day 9 Breakfasts. Pick up and departure to the airport.

Birding Package 2
Day 1 Arrival. One of our guides will meet you at the airport. Transfer to the hotel in San Jose and brief meeting with detailed explanation of itinerary. We also hand over all the necessary travel documents you need for this great vacation time. Overnight in San Jose.
Day 2 Breakfasts. Morning departure to Rancho Natualista, located in the hills of Turrialba. This area is famous for the snow-cap hummingbird. Afternoon free for self guided birding through the rainforests. Overnight Rancho Naturalista or Pacuare Jungle Lodge.
Day 3 Breakfasts. Early morning birding tour. Afternoon at leisure for optional activities nearby. Overnight Rancho Naturalista.
Day 4 Breakfasts. Departure back towards San Jose and from there to Bajos del Toro, a beautiful hidden cloud forest valley situated half way between San Jose and the Northern Plains. Arrival and afternoon at leisure.
Day 5 Breakfasts. Early morning birding tour the dense and rich cloud forests. Afternoon departure towards San Carlos. Late afternoon arrival at La Fortuna and overnight in La Fortuna de San Carlos. The majestic Arenal Volcano is located right in front of the hotel. Overnight in La Fortuna.
Day 6 Breakfasts and Cano negro Tour. Early morning departure to the famous reserve, home to a large variety of species , but also, home to thousands of birds that are not that abundant in other areas anymore. Overnight in Cano Negro Lodge.
Day 7 Breakfasts. Early morning birding tour. Afternoon departure towards the Pacific Coast, along the Pan American highway. Arrival at La Ensenada Lodge, a beautiful hacienda style lodge . Late afternoon at leisure or optional activities in the grounds of the lodge. Overnight in La Ensenada. Optional also Villa Lapas.
Day 8 Breakfasts. Early morning birding tour. Afternoon tour to Lavo Verde National park, a famous wetlands national park with hundreds of species of birds. Overnight in La Ensenada. Optional also Villa Lapas.
Day 9 Breakfasts and departure back to San Jose. Afternoon arrival and overnight in San Jose.
Day 10 Breakfasts. Pick up and departure to the airport.
