Birdwatching in Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a birdwatchers paradise.
Birds include macaws, toucans, hummingbirds and the famous Paradise Bird or Quetzal, the Bellbird, trogons, and many species that inhabit the coastal areas, the mangrove forests, the cloud forests, the tropical dry forests, the dense tropical rainforests and the estuaries and swamps.

Costa Rica is also a great country to travel. Visitors can go from tropical rainforest to cloud forest in a matter of  2  hours, or from the dry tropical dry forests to    estuaries or cloud forests also in less than  2  hours.
Add to this the fact that Costa Rica is inhabited by the most simple and charming friendly people, it is also safe and has a well developed tourism industry, offering hotels and tour operators in a framework of sustainability.
